The catalog of Sailor writing instrument is noticeably focused on a wide variety of nib grades, ranging from extra fine to broad, but also the so-called ‘Music’ (a wide nib made for calligraphy script), and ‘Zoom’ nibs (a special nib shape that varies in line width depending on the angle of the nib relative to the paper surface).
Important to note, is that Japanese nibs typically will write roughly one size finer than Western equivalents from Montblanc, Pelikan,… This is due to the fact that Japanese Kanji need to be written down small and precise, while remaining legible. You can obviously come and experience the full range of nibs in our store to find out which one suits your handwriting, and if you order online we recommend to choose one size wider than you typically would with Western brands (for example, Western F-fine is more-or-less equivalent to Japanese M-medium).
