The Pilot Iroshizuku Kiri-Same is a warm grey fountain pen ink. Kiri-Same means misty rain in Japanese, after the soft grey mood of a drizzly autumn day. It belongs to the Iroshizuku line, which Pilot launched in 2007 and which draws its colours from nature in Japan.
On paper Kiri-Same is a calm, warm grey that recalls the grey of pencil graphite. It writes smoothly and lays down a steady amount of ink.
Each 50 ml bottle is blown by mouth, so no two bottles are quite the same. The angled, notched base helps your pen reach the last drop. Iroshizuku has 24 colours, each with its own Japanese name, and the bottle looks good on any desk.
