The Sailor factory in Kure, Hiroshima, where Sailor Pen was founded, will be reconstructed and completed in autumn 2022. Some of the previous factory buildings were more than 70 years old. The trees on the site were also more than 60 years old. With the reconstruction, the trees are cut down and prcessed into the barrel, which was then reborn as fountain pens
Since the establishment in 1911, the Sailor Pen Co. has been proudly maintaining its belief in the importance of precision writing instruments. Still today, they offer the discerning customer technical perfection and writing quality. All pens are made exclusively in the factory in Hiroshima Japan using the best available materials.
The Commemorative pen has a 21K gold nib that is one of the finest nibs available in the world.
