Visconti

Inspired by classical art, but also the abundant jewelry and leather commerce of Firenze, every Visconti product reflects the beauty of the city. Take the ‘Divina Proporzione’ from Leonardo Da Vinci (who was born just outside of Firenze!) for example, that forms the inspiration for the Divina collection: a unique pen with five twisted facets in which the golden ratio is hidden. Or the Medici collection, named after the influencial family of patrons of art that helped build the history of Firenze. But also artists like Van Gogh or Rembrandt are commemorated in Visconti products. In honor of Firenze, every Visconti pen wears an arched clip that represents the design of the famous ponte Vecchio bridge. It symbolizes the connection between past and present, tradition and innovation.

Tradition and Innovation

Despite the brands love of classical art, Visconti also actively strives for innovation. The combination of these two elements makes their products so unique. For example, the Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Mirage pens are equipped with a magnetic locking system to quickly open and close the pen. For their fountain pens, Visconti designed the ‘double reservoir power filler’ filling system, that fills in a single motion through creating a vacuum. A second ink reservoir ensures a steady ink flow, and makes it leak-proof (even on an airplane!). Also worth mentioning is the Homo Sapiens collection, and indestructible pen made from real volcanic ash from mount Etna.
