Penworld is a specialist pen shop on the Paardenmarkt in Antwerp. The business was founded in 1924 and is run today by the fourth generation of the same family. A team of seven looks after the shop, the engraving workshop and the webshop.
We keep more than 10,000 items in stock. Mostly fountain pens and ballpoint pens, but also rollerballs, refills and ink, notebooks, diaries and leather goods. We are an official dealer of every brand we sell. We do the engraving ourselves, here in the building, and we ship all over the world.
Penworld is the specialist department for luxury writing instruments of Papierhandel Rombouts-Neyrinck & Co NV. That is where you find everything for the office. At Penworld, it is all about writing.

Four generations on the Paardenmarkt
The business started in 1924 at Paardenmarkt number 88. Back then, customers still arrived by horse tram. Penworld has stayed in the same family ever since and is now in the hands of the fourth generation. In 1964 the shop moved a few doors down to number 112, where it still is today.
When a family business lasts a hundred years, that says something about the way we work.
Customers who bought their first fountain pen here as students come back years later for a present for their own children.
Everything really is in stock here
More than 10,000 items are kept in our shop and warehouse. There is no need to order anything in: what we have, you take home. If you want to see Montblanc in Antwerp, you will find the full collection here in its own shop-in-shop. The same goes for S.T. Dupont, Parker, Graf von Faber-Castell and Lamy.
You are welcome to come in and try things. Thinking of buying a fountain pen? Then you first write with the model you have in mind. Everyday ballpoints and Montblanc pens sit side by side, and if you can't decide between two nibs, you simply compare them on the spot.

The list goes on, but you get the idea. Being an official dealer means something very practical for you: you buy original products with the manufacturer's warranty. If something ever goes wrong, we check the pen and arrange the repair, ourselves or with the brand.
For collectors we keep Limited Editions. They usually sell out quickly.
Engraving and personalisation in our own workshop
We have been engraving pens in our own shop for more than sixty years. First with the old methods, today with the latest laser engraving machines. For notebooks we have one machine for blind embossing and another for foil stamping. We also have our own UV printer, which prints in colour directly onto products.
Because all the machines are here and the stock is in the same building, things move quickly. A single pen with an engraving is no problem, and neither are a thousand pens with a company logo. Just ask us for a proposal for corporate gifts.

In December we are also open on Saturday 12, Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 December, from 10:00 to 17:00. The webshop is always open.
Ordering and shipping
Our webshop ships worldwide and is available in Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish. Orders placed before 16:00 leave the same day. Shipping is free from 39 euros to Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany, and from 60 euros to Spain. You can of course also collect your order in the shop.

Where is the Penworld pen shop?
Our shop is at Paardenmarkt 112, 2000 Antwerp. Free parking is available at Rodestraat 5, around the corner. We are open Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 12:15 and from 14:00 to 18:00. In December we are also open on Saturday 12, Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 December, from 10:00 to 17:00.
Is Penworld an online shop or a real pen shop?
Both. Our pen shop on the Paardenmarkt in Antwerp is a real shop where you can look at everything and try it out. We also ship worldwide through our webshop.
Is Penworld an official dealer?
Yes, for every brand we sell. So you buy original products with the manufacturer's warranty. The shop has separate shop-in-shops for Montblanc, S.T. Dupont, Parker, Graf von Faber-Castell and Lamy.
Can you repair my pen?
Yes. Fountain pen or ballpoint, we check the pen and arrange the repair, ourselves or with the brand. Send us an email describing the problem, ideally with a photo, or bring the pen into the shop.
Can I have a pen engraved at Penworld?
Yes, and we have been doing it in our own shop in Antwerp for more than sixty years. First with the old methods, today with the latest laser engraving machines. For notebooks we have separate machines for blind embossing and foil stamping, and our UV printer also prints in colour. So a logo can be applied in several ways.
Can you engrave large quantities?
From a single piece to a thousand or more. Because all the machines are in house and the stock is here, we can handle large orders quickly. For corporate gifts we make a proposal to suit you.
