Iroful Paper

Iroful – Colorful Japanese Writing Paper for the Fountain Pen Enthusiast

Iroful is the colorful sister brand of Tomoe River, within the prestigious SAKAE Technical Paper family. The name "Iroful" is a playful combination of the Japanese word "iro" (color) and the English suffix "-ful", resulting in "colorful". This name perfectly reflects the mission of this paper: to bring out the vibrant colors, delicate shading and beautiful sheen of fountain pen ink to its fullest potential.

Discover Iroful writing paper, a true delight for fountain pen lovers and a sanctuary for letters and words. As a prestigious product of the renowned SAKAE Technical Paper brand, alongside the celebrated Tomoe River, Iroful belongs to the elite producers of superior quality paper, celebrated worldwide by connoisseurs.

Every sheet of Iroful paper is a masterpiece, crafted with meticulous care and Japanese artistry. At 75 gsm, Iroful is slightly thicker than the ultra-thin Tomoe River (52 gsm), making it ideal for writers seeking the premium fountain pen paper experience with a little more body and firmness.

The warm ivory white paper is specially developed to reproduce the original colors of your ink vividly. The innovative "New Sub-Dot Grid" technology – internationally patented – ensures that ink lines remain sharp and clear without bleed-through. This unique method creates lines and grids from invisible sub-dots, allowing ink to absorb better with minimal repulsion.

Iroful paper is resistant to bleed-through and feathering, and can handle a wide variety of inks and nib types. The special double-sided coating minimizes ghosting, so both sides of the paper can be used. This velvety smooth, fountain pen-friendly writing paper delivers precise ink lines, beautiful ink shades and razor-sharp lines with high contrast.

Perfect for calligraphy, letter writing, journaling and all creative writing projects where color reproduction is essential. Iroful is more than paper; it is a complete sensory experience, a symbol of dedication to beauty and tradition.

In fine writing paper, Iroful is the colorful counterpart to Tomoe River. While Tomoe River is known for its ultra-thin elegance, Iroful is known for its vibrant color expression and slightly more robust character, and both meet SAKAE Technical Paper's highest Japanese quality standards.

Choose Iroful and find a reliable companion on your literary journey, a confidant that faithfully preserves your thoughts and secrets, expressed through the power of words and colors.
