The Caran d'Ache 849 Mosaic Spruce Green is the one that breaks the pattern in the Mosaic collection, in the best way. Where the other colours are each paired with a pastel version of themselves, the Spruce Green gets a blue-grey geometric motif as its contrast. Dark green body, cooler grey accent: it reads differently from the rest of the lineup, and stands out for it. The colour and pattern were chosen by the Caran d'Ache community through an Instagram vote.
The body is hexagonal aluminium, light in the hand and solid in use. The satin lacquer on the deep spruce green has a muted, composed quality that suits the colour well. The push mechanism is direct and uncomplicated.
The pen comes fitted with a black Caran d'Ache Goliath medium refill, rated for around 600 pages of writing. It is compatible with all Caran d'Ache Goliath ink refills. It arrives in a printed cardboard case that carries the graphic identity of the Mosaic collection.
