The Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 76 Coloured Pencils with 2 Full Blenders holds 76 colours from the Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 range, made in the company's own workshops in Geneva.
This box holds 76 colours, one of each shade, plus two Full Blenders. Those blenders are colourless and hexagonal, on an oil and wax base. You blend and deepen colours with them, and they form a waterproof coating that reinforces UV protection. Since the whole stick is blender material, you use them up completely.
The wax based lead is packed with pigment: colour goes down creamy and covers heavily, even on dark paper. Of the hundred colours in the range, 81 reach the top lightfastness class LFI under the ASTM D-12901 standard. Under museum conditions your work keeps its colour for a century.
