The Cross Foundry Glossy Black PVD Gold Ballpoint Pen carries the slim Cross silhouette into a two tone finish. The body and cap are finished in glossy black lacquer, while the clip, centre ring and conical top sit in PVD gold for a warm contrast against the deep black base. What sets the Foundry apart from the older Cross lines is the double centre ring, where a smooth band sits next to a finely grooved one. The name of the collection refers to the metal foundries where raw material takes its shape.

The body is built around a brass core beneath the lacquer, which gives the pen a balanced weight that sits well in the hand during longer writing sessions. A twist of the body extends the ballpoint tip through the Cross twist action mechanism. The same mechanism retracts the tip when you put the pen away.
