The S.T. Dupont Slim 7 takes its name from its thickness: exactly 7 millimetres, which S.T. Dupont presents as the world's thinnest luxury lighter. It weighs just 45 grams and measures around 37 by 67.5 millimetres, thin enough to slide flat into a breast pocket or wallet. The finish is in metal, chrome and Chinese lacquer, in colours from brushed gold and gunmetal to glossy chrome and matte black.
Under that slim exterior sits a wind-resistant jet flame. The Slim 7 lights with a piezo system via a lever on the side, so there is no flint to replace. The flat, concentrated flame keeps burning in the wind and lights cigarettes and cigars quickly, outdoors too. You set the flame height with a small screw on the base.
