Discover the Iroful writing paper, a true delight for fountain pen enthusiasts and a sanctuary for letters and words. As a prestigious product from the esteemed Paper Paper conglomerate, alongside the renowned Tomoe River brand, Iroful stands among the elite producers of superior quality paper, celebrated by connoisseurs worldwide.
Each sheet of Iroful paper is a masterpiece, crafted with meticulous care and Japanese artistry. It offers a refined, ethereal surface that is surprisingly durable, perfect for fountain pen writing. The moment the nib touches the paper, a seamless symbiosis between pen and medium unfolds, allowing words to flow effortlessly, like a river of ink on a pristine canvas.
Cherished by discerning calligraphers and writers, Iroful paper is prized for its subtle nuances and fine textures. It is a niche choice for those seeking not just good paper, but perfection in every sheet.
"Iro" is the Japanese word for "color", which renders a playful meaning of "colorful" to express the delicate shades and the beautiful sheens of colors. This high-grade paper vividly brings out the ink's original colors, with sharp, crisp lines without bleed-through.
The 5mm grid is created using an innovative, internationally patented method called "New Sub-Dot Grid". Each line is composed of a collection of invisible sub-dots. By creating these spaces in the lines, ink will absorb better with less ink repelling on paper. The 5mm grid helps guide you so that your writing will always be straight with equal intervals.
At 75 gsm, this paper is slightly thicker than Tomoe River, yet still light and thin. The special double-sided coating ensures no bleed-through, even with wet inks, no feathering of ink lines, minimal ghosting for double-sided use, and optimal display of ink sheen, shading and color depth with high contrast.
