The Monteverde USA Axis Fountain Pen in Matte Champagne is a compact pen made from aluminum, finished in a warm, understated matte champagne. The gear-inspired grip section is one of the more distinctive details at this price point and gives the pen a firm, secure feel in hand. Post the magnetic cap onto the back of the barrel and the pocket pen becomes a full size writer at 156 mm.
It comes fitted with a #5 JoWo stainless steel nib, made in Germany, available in extra fine, fine, medium, and broad. Ink flow is consistent and the nib writes smoothly across all four sizes. The aluminum construction keeps the overall weight low, which makes a noticeable difference during longer writing sessions.
The Axis accepts standard international ink cartridges or a mini push-in converter for bottled inks. It comes packaged in a gift box.
