The Monteverde MP1 White Lotus is a limited edition fountain pen with a calm, refined look. The name points to the white lotus: the cap is finished in a luminous white lacquer with a subtle pearl effect that shifts in tone as the light moves. The transparent body shows the internal piston mechanism and the ink level, set against gunmetal accents on the clip and ring. This edition is limited to 1,999 pieces.
The MP1 is Monteverde's first fountain pen with an internal piston filling system, released around the brand's 25th anniversary. Thanks to the Lock-It piston technology, the piston knob stays firmly locked between fillings, which prevents leaks. You fill it straight from a bottle of ink, with a 2 ml reservoir. The JoWo #6 nib is made in Germany and has a plasma-treated feed for a steady ink flow.
The nib comes in extra fine, fine, medium, broad, stub and Omniflex, so you can match the pen to your own writing style. The body is made of polycarbonate resin and the cap of anodised aluminium, together giving a light weight of around 14 grams. Refill it with bottled fountain pen ink. A collector's piece for anyone who likes a quiet, timeless look.
