de KEMPEN, Belgian notebooks by Brepols
Brepols has been making paper goods in Turnhout since 1796, and de KEMPEN is their notebook for people who like to write by hand. A special binding lets it lie completely flat, which helps left-handers and anyone who wants to use the full width of the page. The cream-coloured 90 g/m² FSC paper absorbs ink quickly, so nothing smudges, and it is thick enough that your writing does not show through.
You choose the pages: ruled with page numbers, plain, or dotted with a subtle dot grid. There are two sizes, both with a flexible cover: Large (17 x 22 cm, 192 pages) and Pocket (11 x 16 cm, 160 pages). Every colour has its own endpaper, based on old Brepols marbled paper kept at the National Museum of Playing Cards in Turnhout, and a coloured ribbon bookmark. The cut corner is a nod to the reinforced corners of the old Brepols missals.
