The Pelikan Edelstein Pyrite Ink (Ink of the Year 2026) is a gold-grey ink, a deep gold-grey with a strong metallic gold sheen over a grey base. The colour is named after pyrite, also called fool's gold, and was the Edelstein Ink of the Year 2026. The ink carries the colour of its gemstone.
The ink flows smoothly from most fountain pens. Fine gold shimmer particles run through the ink and catch the light on paper; that sheen is the standout feature. Edelstein is Pelikan's premium ink line, named for the gemstones behind every colour (edelstein is German for gemstone).
The ink comes in a 50 ml glass bottle, made in Germany. See the full range at Pelikan Edelstein ink.
