The Sheaffer 100 Coffee Edition Fountain Pen Gift Set with 3 Ink Vials is the Coffee Edition with everything in the box: the pen, three vials of ink and a converter. Its lacquered metal body carries a coffee brown gradient running from warm caramel down to a deep dark brown, set off by Regal Brown PVD trim. There is a small coffee cup with a heart in the foam on the cap, and the clip wears the white dot Sheaffer has used on its better pens since 1924.
You get three 10 ml glass vials: Brown Coffee Scented, Black and Blue. The first one genuinely smells of coffee, which is a nice touch if there is already a cup sitting next to you. All three are water based and pH neutral, so they are safe in any fountain pen, and the screw caps seal without leaking.
The nib is steel, finished in the same PVD tone as the rest of the trim. Fill it straight from a vial with the converter that comes in the set, or use Sheaffer ink cartridges when you want to swap colours quickly. An information card and warranty card are included. Everything sits in a brown box with a suede tray and the Coffee Edition imprint.
