The Montblanc Maria Callas Special Edition Ballpoint honours one of the most charismatic sopranos of the twentieth century, known across the opera world as La Divina. Cap and barrel are finished in rich ruby precious resin, a warm tone that echoes her love of opulent ruby jewellery, while the slender silhouette recalls her graceful stage presence.
The platinum coated clip holds a synthetic stone in a vivid ruby shade, shaped like a single petal as a nod to the rose named after Maria Callas in 1965. Around the platinum coated cone runs a pattern of laurel leaves drawn from a costume detail in Bellini's Norma, one of her signature bel canto roles, set beside her engraved signature.
At 128.7 mm by 13.9 mm and 39.6 grams, it is a slim, comfortable ballpoint for everyday writing. A twist mechanism brings the refill out of the body with a smooth turn. The pen arrives in a Montblanc luxury gift box.
