The Montblanc StarWalker Extreme Doué Fineliner combines a barrel of black precious resin with a ruthenium coated metal cap. The resin carries the diagonal Extreme motif, a pattern that first appeared in the 1920s, when testing a Montblanc nib left behind diagonal stripes. The metal cap and the ruthenium coated accents give the pen a smoke-grey, futuristic look. At the top sits an orange dome beneath a clear top, calling to mind a rocket just before launch.
The fineliner writes with a fine, fluid line close to that of a fountain pen, but with the ease of a refill you swap in seconds. The ink runs evenly and without skipping across the paper. The cylindrical body sits balanced in the hand, also during longer texts.
The fineliner works with Montblanc fineliner refills. If you prefer a wetter rollerball line, Montblanc rollerball refills fit the same pen as well. A black fineliner refill is already fitted on delivery.
