Few writing instruments wear their inspiration this openly. The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Bram Stoker Limited Edition Rollerball dresses cap and body in red and black precious resin with a blurred finish, where the two colours drift into one another and hint at the menace of the Dracula story. Across the swirling pattern on the cap rests the signature of the Irish author who gave the vampire its lasting literary shape in 1897.
Look closer and the details keep pointing back to the novel. The ruthenium coated clip tapers to a fine point and recalls the clip of an early Montblanc fountain pen, while two small marks on the clip ring stand in for the vampire bite. The silhouette nods to the Pravaz syringe, a Victorian milestone in medicine, and the fittings echo the writing tools of Stoker's own era.
The rollerball writes with a genuine Montblanc rollerball refill, available in several colours for a smooth, flowing line. It arrives in a Montblanc prestige gift box.
