Monteverde was founded in the United States in 1999 and is now sold in more than 30 countries. Colour sits at the heart of the brand, both in the finishes of its pens and in more than 180 fountain pen inks. Those inks use Monteverde's own ITF formula, which helps the ink flow, slows down drying in the nib and makes cleaning easier.
The ranges are very different from each other. The Ritma is clean and minimalist, with a magnetic cap. The MP1 is the first Monteverde with a built in piston. The Axis is a compact pocket fountain pen that reaches full length once you post the cap. The Innova Formula M, Innova Matte Carbon, Invincia Deluxe and Super Mega Carbon are sturdier pens with a carbon look.
For the ballpoints there are Monteverde refills in many colours, and they also fit ballpoints from other brands.
Frequently asked questions about Monteverde
Which nib does a Monteverde fountain pen have?
A steel nib made by JoWo. Depending on the model you can choose extra fine, fine, medium, broad, stub or Omniflex, a softer nib that gives more line variation.
How do you fill a Monteverde fountain pen?
Most take standard international ink cartridges or a converter. The MP1 has a built in piston, so you fill it straight from the bottle.
Can I have a Monteverde pen engraved?
Yes, we laser engrave the Ritma, MP1, Axis and Innova free of charge. Order before 4 pm and it ships the same day, engraving included.
