About the Magnetic Series
The name refers to the Magnetic Works in Birmingham, where T. Hessin & Co made pen nibs in the 19th century; they were magnetised to make them easier to handle. The metal barrel carries a guilloché diamond pattern taken from an old stamp in the family archive. The fountain pen and rollerball caps snap shut with a magnet, the ballpoint twists open. The fountain pen has a PVD-coated JoWo x Tom Hessin nib, takes standard international cartridges and comes with a converter.
There are three editions: Carbon Steel in matte black, Ritz in silver tone with gold-plated accents, and Poppy Red in matte red with black, also as a fountain pen and ballpoint set. Other collections are under Tom Hessin.
