Small, smoky and see-through: the TWSBI VAC Mini Smoke pairs a clear barrel and cap, so you can check your ink level at a glance, with a grip section and plunger knob in translucent smoky black. It looks a little more understated than the all-clear version. Chrome rings, a chrome clip and the TWSBI logo on top of the cap complete the look.
The real story is inside. A vacuum filling system fills the whole barrel with a single up and down stroke of the plunger. Screw the knob fully down and the mechanism seals near the nib, which gives extra protection against leaks. For a quick note, just uncap and write. For a longer session, unscrew the knob a few turns so the ink can reach the nib, without pulling the plunger up.
The polished steel nib carries the TWSBI logo and comes in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Stub 1.1. Cartridges won't fit: this pen is filled from a bottle. It can be taken apart completely for cleaning and servicing, with instructions and tools in the box, although that is something for experienced users. See the full range at TWSBI fountain pens.
