The Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-Kai is a dark, smoky blue fountain pen ink. Shin-Kai means deep sea in Japanese, after the dark blue of the deep ocean. It belongs to the Iroshizuku line, which Pilot launched in 2007 and which draws its colours from nature in Japan.
On paper Shin-Kai is a deep blue-grey that leans towards blue-black. It writes smoothly and lays down a steady amount of ink.
This pack holds 6 ink cartridges of Shin-Kai, ready to use. The cartridges fit Pilot and Namiki fountain pens that take Pilot cartridges, so you can write without a converter or bottle.
