Platinum Carbon Black Ink 60ml

The Platinum Carbon Black Ink 60ml sets itself apart from ordinary fountain pen ink because it is pigment based rather than dye based. That gives it a deep black tone that is permanent and fully waterproof. Once the line has dried it stays put, even when water or watercolour washes pass over it. This makes the ink a favourite among artists and illustrators who wash over their line work, and among anyone who wants documents to remain legible for years.

The ink comes in a 60 ml glass bottle. The black lays down opaque and even, with very little variation across the line. On fountain pen friendly papers such as Tomoe River or Rhodia you write smoothly and consistently.

Because the ink holds ultra fine carbon particles, it can dry inside a pen that sits unused. Flush the pen and converter regularly, and avoid storing the pen filled if you will not use it for several days. With that small bit of care you get years of writing from one of the most dependable waterproof blacks available.
