The Sailor 115th Anniversary Hiroshima Momiji marks 115 years of Sailor making fountain pens in Hiroshima. Cap and barrel are turned from Japanese maple grown in the mountains of Hiroshima and polished to a warm sheen. The wood is strong with a fine, even grain, finished with gold-plated trim.
Momiji, the maple, has been the tree of Hiroshima Prefecture since 1966. The anniversary pen was made with the support of craftspeople from Hiroshima and the city of Higashihiroshima. The 21K gold nib, two-tone gold and rhodium, carries the inscription 115th and writes in an MF (medium fine) width. It fills with cartridges or a converter.
The edition is limited to 1,150 pieces, each numbered on the end of the barrel. It comes in an exclusive Sailor box.
