Tombow MONO 100 Assorted Pencils - Set of 12

The Tombow MONO 100 is the finest graphite pencil made by Japanese manufacturer Tombow, on the market since 1967. Its name points to what sets it apart: a core built from ten billion graphite particles per cubic millimetre. That density gives the pencil a deep, even, jet-black line that glides across the paper.

The high-gloss lacquered black body, with gold lettering and a white band, has barely changed since it first appeared. The hexagonal pencils sit firmly in the hand and come twelve to a black slide-top box. The fine core sharpens evenly and holds its point well.

This set holds twelve different grades: 4H, 3H, 2H, H, F, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B and 6B. In one box you get the full run from hard and light to soft and dark, ideal for drawing, sketching and shading with the right grade always at hand. The MONO 100 comes in seventeen grades in total, from 9H through to 6B.
