Tomoe River Notebook A5 White Plain 160 Pages 62 gsm

Writing with a fountain pen on Tomoe River paper is like gliding over silk, an unparalleled and fulfilling writing experience that transforms simple writing into a sublime art. Tomoe River is renowned for producing the best fountain pen paper in the world, highly regarded by the most discerning writing enthusiasts.

This elegant notebook features Tomoe River FP paper, now produced by SANZEN, the successor to the original Tomoe River FP paper by Tomoegawa, featuring the same great qualities as the original papers.

This 68 gsm version is slightly thicker than the classic 52 gsm Tomoe River paper, offering a more substantial feel while remaining lightweight and thin. The increased thickness of the 68 gsm paper means ghosting (show-through) is extremely minimal, making it superior for consistent double-sided writing.

The 68 gsm paper is less crinkly than the 52 gsm paper and feels sturdier and more durable. This extra body makes it more suitable for intensive use and daily writing, while retaining all the legendary properties of Tomoe River. The paper also works perfectly with pencils, pens and markers without the paper rippling.

The velvety smooth texture ensures fountain pens glide effortlessly across the paper, creating exceptionally crisp lines. This premium, artist-grade plain paper is manufactured and treated for the perfect surface, allowing fountain pens to glide smoothly and giving you precise ink strokes and beautiful ink shades.

Despite its smoothness, Tomoe River plain paper is highly resistant to bleed-through and feathering, so it can handle a variety of inks and pen nibs. The special double-sided coating minimizes ghosting significantly more than with 52 gsm paper.

The notebook has a sewn binding allowing it to lie perfectly flat for easy writing. The black matte textured cardstock cover is soft and flexible, yet sturdy and durable enough to protect the pages inside. This superb quality blank notebook contains 160 pages (80 sheets) of this superior paper.

The silver hot-foil Tomoe River logo is embossed on the cover - the iconic proof of the genuine product, manufactured and imported from Japan. Perfect for bullet journaling, daily planning, drawing, note taking and creative writing.
