The Lamy Swift Black is a capless rollerball that works without a cap. Its all metal body wears a matte black lacquer that gives it a quiet, almost stealth look. The grip section carries finely punched textures, a Wolfgang Fabian detail that adds grip and a touch of visual interest at once. Clean lines, nothing superfluous, very much Lamy.
The clip is what sets this pen apart. Push the knock to extend the tip and the clip sinks completely into the barrel, so it never gets in the way while you write. Retract the tip and the clip springs back up, ready to slide over a pocket. A small nub stays put and keeps the pen from rolling off the desk. The weight sits in the middle range and feels balanced in the hand, even over longer sessions. Made in Germany.
The Swift writes with the Lamy M66, the capless rollerball refill built for this push mechanism. It comes in M and B widths and in blue, black, red and green. This pen ships with a broad blue M66 refill, so you can start writing straight away. For spares, see the Lamy M66 refills.
