The Montblanc Great Characters Homage to Bruce Lee Special Edition Ballpoint Pen belongs to the series Montblanc dedicated to Bruce Lee the actor. Born in San Francisco in 1940 and raised in Hong Kong, Bruce Lee broke through worldwide with The Big Boss, Fist of Fury and The Way of the Dragon. His famous yellow film outfit gave the pen its colour, the black comes from the dragon.
That dragon sits in relief on the black precious resin barrel, drawn by Bruce Lee himself. He was born on 27 November 1940, in the hour and the year of the dragon, and his nickname was Little Dragon. That is why the white Montblanc emblem holds the Chinese character for dragon. The glossy yellow upper section refers to Game of Death and carries fine geometric lines taken from the frame of the original Enter the Dragon poster. The ruthenium coated clip is shaped like a nunchaku stick and the ring below it looks like a piece of bamboo.
It takes a Montblanc ballpoint refill, available under Montblanc ballpoint refills. At 136.6 mm it is slightly shorter than the fountain pen and the rollerball, and it weighs 53.1 grams. It comes in a Montblanc gift box.
