Pelikan Souveran K805 Stresemann Ballpoint Pen

The Pelikan Souverän K805 Stresemann Ballpoint takes its name from Gustav Stresemann, the Weimar Republic foreign minister known for his finely pinstriped suits. Pelikan turned that idea into a barrel of subtle anthracite stripes in cellulose acetate, built up into a striped sheet through a labour intensive process. The black turned parts are high grade resin, and the clip and rings are finished in palladium, which gives the pen a quiet silver look rather than gold.

This is a large ballpoint in the same size as the Souverän 800, with a solid feel in the hand. The tip works on a twist mechanism: a short turn of the top extends it and pulls it back. Each pen is assembled and checked by hand at Pelikan, which shows in the seamless joins and the clean finish.

It writes with the Pelikan 337 ballpoint refill and its large ink capacity. You will find spares under Pelikan 337 ballpoint refills. The K805 comes in a Pelikan gift box and is also available as the M805 fountain pen and the R805 roller.
