The Blackwing Walnut Gift Set comes in a box made from round-grain walnut with a natural brown finish. The lid closes with a magnet, the interior is cork-lined, and the whole thing feels well-made without making a fuss about it.
Inside are 24 Blackwing pencils, 6 of each core model. The 602 with firm graphite and a gunmetal finish. The Matte with soft graphite, good for sketching and drawing. The Pearl with balanced graphite and a pearlescent barrel. The Natural with extra-firm graphite and a bare incense-cedar body. It's a solid cross-section of the Blackwing range in one box.
A Blackwing One-Step Long Point Sharpener is included as well, compact aluminium with a German steel blade that produces a long curved point. After use, the walnut box holds up fine as a permanent home for a Blackwing collection on the desk.
