Cross Classic Century: the original
For the hundredth anniversary of Cross in 1946, the Century pencil was launched. In 1953 it was followed by the ballpoint pen with the twist mechanism Ellery Boss designed for it. Ever since, the Classic Century has been the most recognisable Cross model: slim, light and well balanced.
- Ballpoint pen: you twist the barrel to extend the tip. It writes with the standard Cross ballpoint refill.
- Pencil: with 0.7 mm leads and an eraser under the cap.
- Rollerball and fountain pen: for those who prefer writing with ink. The fountain pen takes the slim Cross ink cartridges.

Questions about the Cross Classic Century
What is the difference from the Century II?
The Century II has the same silhouette and the same conical top, but it is wider and slightly heavier. The Classic Century is the slimmer and lighter of the two.
