Engraved pens from our own workshop
Penworld has been a family business since 1924, run today by the fourth generation. We engrave every pen ourselves, with four engraving machines: laser and diamond. For each pen we pick the machine that gives the best result. Engraving is free. A pen with a name or a date on it is a gift nobody throws away.
Personalised pen: how to order
- Choose a pen above.
- Type your text (one line, up to 16 characters) and choose a font. You see a preview of your text in that font straight away.
- Order before 4 pm and we engrave and ship your pen the same day.
What can we engrave?
A name, initials or a date: one line, up to 16 characters. Short and easy to read looks best. A few slim models have room for less; you see it on the product page. You can choose from three fonts:
Which pens can we engrave?
Metal pens, including aluminium, give the best result. We do not engrave resin. On Visconti pens we personalise with initials (the My Pen System). Each product page shows what is possible. We only engrave pens bought from us.

What does engraving cost?
Nothing, engraving is free. You only pay for the pen.
How fast will my engraved pen arrive?
Order before 4 pm and we ship the same day, engraving included.
Where on the pen does the engraving go?
Usually on the cap, a quarter turn from the clip. If the shape of the pen does not allow that, we put the text in line with the clip. If there is no clip, the engraving goes on the end of the pen: never where you hold it.
Can I return an engraved pen?
No. An engraved pen is made for one person and cannot be returned or exchanged. Please check your text carefully before you order.
Can you engrave a pen for a wedding?
Yes, with your names or the wedding date, on one line.
Can you engrave handwriting?
No, we engrave in one of our three fonts: Semplicità, Roman or Corsiva.
Can I change my text after ordering?
Email or call us right away: what is ordered before 4 pm, we engrave the same day.
Can you engrave a pen I bought somewhere else?
No, we only engrave pens bought from us.
