Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco in 1940 and grew up in Hong Kong. With films such as The Big Boss, Fist of Fury and The Way of the Dragon he brought martial arts to a wide audience, in the West as well. Montblanc dedicates the Great Characters Homage to Bruce Lee Special Edition to the actor, and it shows in every detail: the colours, shapes and references all come from his films.
The black precious resin barrel carries a raised dragon based on a drawing by Bruce Lee himself. He was born in the hour and the year of the dragon, and his nickname was Little Dragon. The yellow upper section refers to his outfit in Game of Death, with geometric lines from the Enter the Dragon poster. The clip is a nunchaku stick, the ring below it a piece of bamboo, and the white Montblanc emblem holds the Chinese character for dragon.
