The Montblanc Great Characters Homage to Bruce Lee Special Edition Fountain Pen is about Bruce Lee the actor. Born in San Francisco in 1940 and raised in Hong Kong, he became world famous with The Big Boss, Fist of Fury and The Way of the Dragon. Montblanc built this edition around the two colours everyone links to him: bright yellow and black.
The black precious resin barrel carries a raised dragon based on a drawing by Bruce Lee himself. He was born on 27 November 1940, in the hour and the year of the dragon. The glossy yellow cap recalls his outfit in Game of Death, and the fine geometric lines on it follow the frame of the original Enter the Dragon poster. The clip is shaped like a nunchaku stick, the cap ring like a length of bamboo. A hornet circles the ruthenium coated cone, a nod to the TV series that started his career, and the white Montblanc emblem holds the Chinese character for dragon, after his nickname Little Dragon.
This fountain pen has a handmade Au585 solid gold nib, finished with a ruthenium coating and engraved with the yin and yang symbol. At 144.4 mm and 53.45 grams it is a full, substantial pen. It comes in a Montblanc gift box.
