The Montblanc StarWalker Extreme Doué Fountain Pen combines a barrel of black precious resin with a ruthenium coated metal cap. The resin carries the diagonal Extreme motif, a pattern that first appeared in the 1920s, when testing a Montblanc nib left behind diagonal stripes. The metal cap and the ruthenium coated accents give the pen a smoke-grey, futuristic look. At the top sits an orange dome beneath a clear top, calling to mind a rocket just before launch.
At the heart of this fountain pen is the solid Au 585 gold nib, ruthenium coated and finished with a special engraving. Gold gives the nib a natural spring that keeps writing smooth and even. The cylindrical body sits balanced in the hand, also during longer texts.
The fountain pen comes with a Montblanc converter, so you can fill it from a bottle of ink. Montblanc ink cartridges can be used as well.
