Tactile Turn Ansø Ballpoint Titanium

The Tactile Turn Ansø Ballpoint Titanium is a collaboration between Danish industrial designer Jens Ansø and Tactile Turn of Dallas, Texas. Ansø has been making internationally recognised knives since 2001, and his approach has always been the same: clean forms, considered materials, and nothing that doesn't earn its place. In titanium, that philosophy finds its most refined expression.

The hexagonal body is machined via polygonal turning from round titanium stock. Sourcing titanium in hexagonal form requires minimum orders that Tactile Turn wasn't willing to commit to without certainty on tolerances, so they turned it themselves. The result is a pen that weighs just 19 grams while still feeling deliberate and well made in the hand. The stonewashed finish handles daily carry without showing wear, and the 40 mm knurled grip gives confident purchase without being uncomfortable. The side click mechanism sits opposite the clip, a direct consequence of the pen's extremely slim 8 mm diameter.

Included is an Ohto PG-105 refill in blue, 0.5 mm.
