Tom's Studio Ori Permanent Midnight marker

The Tom's Studio Ori Permanent Midnight is a refillable permanent marker that does away with the throwaway pen. Its anodised aluminium body measures 142 mm and 12.5 mm across, weighs 34 grams and sits firmly in the hand without feeling heavy. A cap screws onto each end, and beneath it a Japanese fibre tip is ready to mark.

The ink is a water-based permanent ink that holds on glass, ceramic, wood, metal, packaging and plastic, and it does so without the harsh fumes you expect from an ordinary permanent marker. It labels boxes and orders a workbench just as happily as it sketches or pins down an idea. Because every part can be swapped out on its own, one Ori keeps going for years rather than drying out and hitting the bin after a few weeks.

The Ori takes all of Tom's Studio water-based permanent inks, and also highlighter inks, standard fountain pen inks and fibre tip inks. Top it up with a bottle from the Ori ink range, or fit a different point from Ori tips. The box holds the Ori in midnight blue, two bullet tips, two ink reservoirs, two 5 ml bottles of water-based permanent ink, silicone grip stickers for labelling your points, and an instruction leaflet.
