The Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Guri is a warm brown fountain pen ink with a purple undertone. Yama-Guri means mountain chestnut in Japanese, after the colour of a ripe, fallen chestnut in autumn. It belongs to the Iroshizuku line, which Pilot launched in 2007 and which draws its colours from nature in Japan.
On paper Yama-Guri is a medium brown that leans towards purple in the darker areas. It writes smoothly and lays down a steady amount of ink.
This 15 ml bottle is the handy, compact size from the Iroshizuku range, ideal for trying out a colour or taking with you. Iroshizuku has 24 colours, each with its own Japanese name.
