The Pilot Iroshizuku Hotaru-Bi is a fresh yellow-green fountain pen ink. Hotaru-Bi means firefly light in Japanese, after the soft glow of fireflies on a summer evening. It belongs to the Iroshizuku line, which Pilot launched in 2007 and which draws its colours from nature in Japan.
On paper Hotaru-Bi is a bright chartreuse green with a warm yellow glow. It writes smoothly and lays down a steady amount of ink.
This 15 ml bottle is the handy, compact size from the Iroshizuku range, ideal for trying out a colour or taking with you. Iroshizuku has 24 colours, each with its own Japanese name.
