The Sailor Ebonite Eternal Flow is a pen you notice with your fingers before your eyes. Sailor machine-engraved waves into the deep blue ebonite of the cap and barrel, like the sea on a still day. The grooves are more than decoration: they guide your fingers into a steady grip, so you write with less pressure.
The ebonite is blasted and then engraved, which gives it a matt, warm feel. The large 14K gold nib is rhodium plated, so it looks silver against the dark blue. Sailor chose 14K for its firm spring. The pen takes cartridges or a converter.
Ebonite is made from natural rubber, so small irregularities in the material are normal and not a defect. Do not leave the pen in direct sunlight or under fluorescent light for long, as UV light can discolour ebonite.
