The Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite Fountain Pen is a limited edition marking the 60th anniversary of Platinum's very first retractable fountain pen from 1965. The series takes its cue from gemstones and power stones and comes in three colours; this edition is limited to 3,000 pieces worldwide.
The Iolite has a pearlescent finish that shifts colour with the angle and the light, much like a real gemstone. The colour is a mysterious violet with a pearlescent sheen.
The Curidas is a retractable fountain pen: one click brings the nib out, so you can start writing with one hand without unscrewing a cap. The nib length keeps the writing point in clear view, and the compact clip allows for a comfortable grip. A sealing system keeps the nib wet, so the pen writes straight away even after sitting for a while.
You fill it with a converter (sold separately), so you can use your own bottled ink just like a traditional fountain pen.
