The Platinum Izumo Tamenuri Soratame represents the pinnacle of Japanese lacquer artistry. Crafted with urushi, a traditional technique where natural lacquer is applied in multiple layers, this fountain pen reveals a depth and brilliance that continues to evolve with time. The Tamenuri method creates a luminous transparency and vibrant color that grows richer as the years pass, making the Soratame not just a writing tool but an heirloom to be cherished for generations.
Each step of the lacquering process is entrusted to highly skilled artisans, who transform the ebonite body into a surface of striking radiance. The Soratame finish evokes the clarity of the sky, with subtle variations of tone that shift beautifully under changing light. Balanced in the hand and fitted with an 18K gold nib (available in F, M, and B), the Platinum Izumo Tamenuri Soratame combines a smooth, refined writing experience with a timeless aesthetic that reflects the very essence of Japanese craftsmanship.
