Tomoe River, a legend with a story
Tomoe River was produced for decades by the Japanese company Tomoegawa, and became world-famous for being the only paper that could be so thin and yet perform so beautifully with fountain pen ink. Today it is produced by Sanzen Paper and is available from us as loose leaf sheets and notebooks in A5, B5 and B6, in blank, dotted and grid.

Iroful, the colourful sibling
Iroful is the younger sister brand, developed by SAKAE Technical Paper. Slightly thicker than Tomoe River at 75 gsm, and specifically designed to draw out the most vibrant colours, the richest shading and the most impressive sheen from your ink. The name says it all: "iro" is Japanese for colour, and colour is exactly what this paper delivers. Available as loose leaf sheets in A4 and A5, and as a notebook.
