The Sailor Shikiori Okuyama is a fountain pen ink from the Shikiori range, in dark magenta-red leaning to burgundy and wine, and strongly paper-dependent. Okuyama means the remote mountain, after autumn maple leaves, a name that suits the colour.
On smooth paper a bright green to green-gold sheen appears. The Shikiori range is made in Japan by Sailor, a name built mostly on its nibs. The ink is water based and flows smoothly from most fountain pens.
Each 20 ml bottle comes in a faceted glass jar. Shikiori offers more than twenty colours.
