The Platinum Izumo Tamenuri Biwatame showcases the enduring beauty of urushi lacquer, a craft whose history reaches back to the Stone Age and has long represented refinement in Japanese culture. In the Tamenuri technique, natural urushi lacquer is carefully applied in multiple layers by skilled artisans, producing a luminous finish with remarkable depth and vibrancy. Over time, the Biwatame develops even richer tones, creating a pen that is not only a writing instrument but also an heirloom to be treasured across generations.
The Biwatame edition is distinguished by its warm amber hues, which shift gracefully depending on the light and highlight the mastery of traditional lacquer craftsmanship. With an ebonite body, perfectly balanced construction, and an 18K gold nib available in F, M, and B, the Platinum Izumo Tamenuri Biwatame offers both an exceptional writing experience and timeless beauty rooted in Japanese heritage.
- 18K gold nib (F, M, B)
- Ebonite body
- Urushi lacquer with Tamenuri finish
- Biwatame finish (amber tone)
- Timeless Japanese craftsmanship
