The Blackwing Colors are colored pencils built the same way as the graphite Blackwings: semi-hexagonal Incense-cedar body and the same iconic square Blackwing ferrule. The color core is a soft, smooth Japanese wax core that lays down color evenly and with good intensity.
What sets this set apart is the special sand eraser. Standard erasers do not work on wax-based colored pencils. The sand eraser has a semi-abrasive texture developed specifically to lift wax color from paper. The ferrule is silver, which visually separates the Colors line from the graphite pencils.
The set contains 12 colors: pink, red, yellow, orange, light green, green, light blue, blue, violet, brown, black, and silver.
